The Big News

Attention whoever reads this:

If we haven't told you already it is now official that we are moving to....

Brandon got an internship with VLCM ( a computer company) down in Salt Lake and will be interning from April 13th till July. It's a hire after he's finished but we'll see where we go from there. We're excited and I'm super pumped to be in Salt Lake where I've always had a fascination with church history down there. We'll be living with my Uncle Dave & Aunt Rachel in Bountiful which is awesome! Life's happening! This is Exciting!

The Mother Load!!!!

This week I decided to go to Jo-Ann's in Idaho Falls so I could get a remnant to make a baby gift. (Everybody here is having kids) I drive up and see huge yellow signs everywhere saying that they're closing. I already knew they're moving to a bigger location I just didn't realize they'd be selling stuff. I walk in and it's practically skeletons but everybody has their carts overflowing with crafting crap! Turns out everything in the store is...drum roll please....90% OFF!!!!
If you know me well you know I'm always up for a good deal...but this! This happens like once in a lifetime! I grab a cart, call Brandon and immediately ask how much I'm allowed to spend. I get a final price of $50. I start running around the store getting everything I know I will use. (Believe me I was really really good) Scrapbook paper, ribbon, buttons, remnants, material, you name it! They were kind of low on stuff but I was so excited. I get to the register feeling guilty. My total comes to $300and something. Then she presses the magic button and I only end up spending $19.77! I drive home and start to feel like I didn't get enough stuff so Brandon takes me back down that night and we get even more stuff! This time though the guy rang us up for less than half of the stuff I grabbed. He was so nice and just wanted to get rid of it. I got home and counted 25 items paid for on the receipt. I counted an extra 38 that he didn't charge me for. AMAZING! I know I'm going a little crazy about this but hey, it happens like once right?! So now I can be a crafting maniac! Love it!!!! Here's all my loot!

Total spent: Less than $30!!!!

Can you say happy wife?

My Very 1st Baby Gift!

Bentley's Puppy Motorcycle Diaper Cake
My friend Anna is having a boy in May. I wanted to make her a diaper cake but decided that a cake looking one just wasn't cool enough. I found a motorcycle one online and modified it a little bit since I think stuffed animals are useless to a newborn but a hand scrubber would be great. I think it turned out pretty cute. It's sitting on a piece of black paper with yellow down the center and it says Bentley Drive on it.

Love it! And so does Daniel & Anna!!! Success!

The Random Life

Here's an update for February. I thought I took Valentine's Day pictures but there aren't any anywhere so...here's our random Februaryness. I made tuna steaks, seasoned red potatoes, asparagus, and chocolate brownie torte for V-day dinner. It was delicious! Even though the steaks were REALLY dry.
Brandon saw this banana on our table one night and got really excited because he swore he saw Superman's profile in the brown mark. See if you can find it.

I was feeling goofy one night and asked Brandon if he'd still love me if I had a uni-brow.  His response was pulling my hair off my head. lol

As of now I am still subbing for District 93 and have found 1st grade to be my absolute favorite. I even did PE and Music this month which was quite the experience. I will NEVER be a PE teacher so power to my sister-in-law Jenna! You go girl!
